Food Paradise

The distinctive cuisine of Zhenfeng is also something that lingers in one's memory and evokes longing. I remember back in the early 1990s, when students studying outside the county returned for an internship, they would talk about what they most wanted to eat upon reaching the county town while still on the bus. The most mentioned dish was Zhenfeng fried rice noodles. Upon arriving in the town, everyone rushed to the open-air restaurant beside the old bus station, each ordering a portion of fried rice noodles. After finishing, many were not satisfied and ordered another. The small city's streets are lined with restaurants and snack shops of all sizes, making it feel like a food paradise. Whether you prefer sweet, sour, spicy, or mild flavors, or whether you want dishes cooked by frying, stewing, steaming, or boiling, this small city will not disappoint. For breakfast, try the fragrant and soft Zhenfeng glutinous rice and zongzi (sticky rice dumplings).
